What should you avoid when looking for those coveted survey websites?

Avoid survey sites that require your money. I have never had to pay anyone to take a survey. I have seen websites promising big money as long as you pay a fee to join. From my experience, these are simply lists of survey sites you join for free anyway. You are paying someone for the lists, not the surveys.
To avoid paying fees, simply do searches via your favorite search engines for survey lists, and you will find a copious number of choices. A genuine survey site will not ask you for money – ever.

Survey sites pay by cash incentives, prize drawings, or points you accumulate to trade for cash or other merchandise. Often, a survey site will include a combination of all the above.

Another point I would like to mention is that some survey sites offer more chances to take surveys than others. Join multiple survey sites for the best chance to get those surveys.
